Nikki Caravelli

Project Assistant, CAMP & Climate Planning

CivicSpark AmeriCorps Fellow

Nikki is a Sierra Nevada local, born and raised on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. She has a deep love and appreciation for her home in the mountains, and for this reason she is incredibly stoked to work on her passions for sustainability and local communities. Nikki recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a concentration in Environmental Studies from Williams College. During college, Nikki had the opportunity to study abroad in Siena, Italy in a Sustainability Program, where she first became fascinated by the relationships between food, culture, environmental policy, and climate change. While at Williams College, she worked as both an Eco-Advisor and a student representative on the Campus Environmental Advisory Committee. Nikki has also interned with an environmental non-profit, 1to1 Movement in San Diego, working to develop their K-12 food system educational program, and this past fall she worked as a Recruitment Director to canvass and get out the vote for the November election.

Personal Highlights

Nikki enjoys baking pies from scratch and hiking with her mom around the Tahoe Basin in her spare time. Her other hobbies include Vipassana meditation, alpine ski racing, and fire staff spinning.
