A Great Escape into the Undiscovered Sierra

I’m getting out of the office and hitting the road!  

Instead of just talking and emailing about this Geotourism thing like I do most every day, I’m going to DO it, SHOW it, LIVE it: For the next week, I'll measure success not by how many emails I respond to, but instead by the number of Sierran people I meet face-to-face and the number of undiscovered Sierra adventures I get to enjoy and support firsthand.

Re-Imagining the Role of Buildings


Traditionally, buildings have been the places where we live and work. They take resources to build, energy and water to function, and produce wastewater and garbage during normal operation.

What if, instead of consuming resources and producing waste, buildings produced benefits for our communities and environment?

Washington D.C. Experience

It has been an eventful past five days.  From putting together a statement last minute, to planning an east coast trip over the weekend, to an exciting arrival to Washington DC to give a testimony in front of U.S. House of Representatives; it has all been a whirlwind.

My Testomony on the Rim Fire to

the House of Representatives

Today I had the honor of testifying in Washington DC at the Safe Climate Caucus Forum to discuss the link between catastrophic wildfires like the Rim Fire and climate change.
