Join SBC and O.A.R.S for May's Green Drinks in Groveland

Green Drinks is an international monthly event that invites local residents to network, share stories and support local businesses in their region. SBC started a Central Sierra Nevada Chapter in 2012 with only a few participants and has watched it grow into a hugely successful event with over eighty participants joining us each month. Green Drinks is a place where people learn about innovative business ideas and local success stories, each month offering the opportunity to network and support the great businesses we have in Tuolumne and Calaveras County.

EVNT GreenDrinks OARS 2014 05Now in our third year, the Sierra Business Council Sonora office is coordinating another year of Green Drink events.  In April we had the pleasure of hosting with Outer Aisle Café in Murphys, and coming up in 2014 SBC will cohost with O.A.R.S, Foothill Resources, Ltd, Cultural Resources Management, Mountain People Organics, Bel Giardino, and more.  Watch our Sierra Business Council website for an updated list of events each month!

On May 13th it will be a special treat to have O.A.R.S co-hosting Green Drinks with the Hotel Charlotte in Groveland. In attendance from O.A.R.S will be Tuolumne River Manager, Chris Moore and president and founder George Wendt.  Based in Angels Camp, O.A.R.S. has been recognized by National Geographic Adventure as “The Best River & Sea Outfitter on Earth” and Outside Magazine named the company one of the top two outfitters in the world. Since 1969 the company has set the standard in first-class rafting & sea kayaking adventures with unparalleled experiences in the most iconic national parks and wilderness areas in Western North America and abroad.

The main topic of discussion for May’s Green Drinks will be the exciting news that Tuolumne River is open for business. We will also talk as a group about what makes O.A.R.S such a unique local business, how the drought is impacting rivers around California and share insights on how the Rim Fire has impacted the Tuolumne River Canyon.  May's Green Drinks will be on Tuesday the 13th from 6-7:30pm at Hotel Charlotte, 18736 Main Street Groveland, CA. See SBC's facebook page to join the event online and get more information regarding event details.

Come celebrate with us this wonderful company, and join us in learning more about this beautiful watershed that provides so much to our local community and beyond and of course, put Green Drinks on your calendar the second Tuesday of every month!
